HOW TO SETUP CANON IJ PRINTER
Make your initial setup of the Canon printer simple by following the procedure available here.
Initially, unbox the Canon printer and place it on a flat table. Take all the additional accessories out of the box.
Connect the power cord between the Canon printer and the wall power supply.
Turn on the Canon printer. The next step is to download the drivers necessary for associating the printer you have purchased and your computer.
Open a browser and navigate to ij.start.canon. Key in your model number and version of OS.
Download the MP driver package. Once the download completes, double-click the setup file to run it.
Read the instructions that appear on your screen and follow them to finish the setup process.
Take a test print to verify whether you have connected the printer to the computer properly.
HOW TO SETUP CANON PRINTER FOR MAC
Your Canon printer can be associated with a Mac system easily. First, make sure you have unpacked the printer and removed all the tapes present inside and outside of it.
Visit the ij.start.canon and make use of the Download button to download & install the necessary drivers on your Mac system.
Navigate to the location comprising the downloaded setup file and double-click on it. A series of prompts will be displayed on your screen.
You have to follow it carefully to set up the driver. Halfway through the setup process, you will be asked to choose a connection method.
Agree to the license agreement and print an alignment page. The printer driver will be successfully installed on your system.
How to Print on Canon ij Printer
Follow the procedure given here to print any file on your computer. Check if the Canon printer is turned on. Extend the input tray and load plain papers into it. Align the plain paper on a flat surface before you place it.
Next, launch the Printer Driver’s Setup screen on your system. Choose the Commonly Used Settings options from the Quick Setup tab.
Settings such as Additional Features, Media type, and Paper Size can be modified. Set the Print Quality as High, Standard, or Draft based on your needs.
Click the OK button after changing the settings. Search for the document you want to print. Open it on your system.
From the File tab, select the Print option. Make any changes in the Print Preview dialog box if needed. Tap Print.
CANON IJ Wireless Setup
Long-press the ON button to turn On the Canon printer. Tap the Settings button on the Canon printer’s touch panel and then press the arrow key to go to the Device Settings window.
Press OK and tap the arrow buttons until you switch to the Wireless LAN setup window. Select the OK button, and the Canon printer will start searching for wireless networks.
Press the name of your Wireless Fidelity network, choose the OK button, and then type the password in the Enter Passphrase field.
Press the OK button and wait until the Connected pop-up window displays on the touch panel. Add the Canon printer to your personal computer.
